Memorial, fundraising show set for Monday
By Rick Massimo It’s been a year since Katie Cabral, of Warren, drowned in her car in Gull’s Cove, in Portsmouth. She had a lot of friends in Rhode Island’s musical community, and they’re getting together on Monday to remember Cabral and to raise money for the Warren Animal Shelter. Mickey Scotia, Otis Read, The Whippets, Joyce Katzberg, Jimmy Warren and Johnny Juxo are on the bill at the Coffee Depot, 501 Main St., Warren, at 7 p.m. Organizer Katzberg says, “donations of cash or kibble for the animals at the shelter” will be accepted at the fragrance-free event.
