HILLSBOROUGH: Ruggieri to play soccer at Rhode Island

Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame inducts its first class

By Rick Massimo The Rhode Island Music Hall of Fame gets off to a loud start with the induction of its first class of eight local luminaries. Honorees include Roomful of Blues; John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band; the late jazz pianist Dave McKenna; the late soprano Eileen Farrell; Oliver Shaw, a 19th-century teacher, songwriter and publisher; blues-rock legend Ken Lyon; and ’50s-’60s hitmakers Anders and Poncia and Gerry Granahan. The event will include a concert by Roomful, Beaver Brown and more, all on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. at The Met, 1005 Main St., Pawtucket. Doyle-led institute paid $642Gs to organize summit in CT
