By Features staff The National Archives, in Waltham, Mass., will present, “They Came from Canada,” a free program, Thursday, Feb. 16, at 6 p.m. The northern border has been crossed and re-crossed for generations, and Canadian history, language and culture have had lasting influences on the U.S. — including hockey. Andrew Holman, professor of history at Bridgewater State University, a specialist in Canadian history and immigration, and author of “Canada’s Game: Hockey and Identity,” will introduce Canada and Canadian history, focus on major migration movements and phases of settlement and out-migration.
