By Lynne Chaput “Love Never Dies,” Andrew Lloyd Webber’s sequel to the fabulously successful “Phantom of the Opera,” had only a short run in London’s West End in 2010. It featured Ramin Karimloo as the Phantom and Sierra Boggess as Christine Daaé. The composer, who considers the show his best score, wouldn’t give up. He helped rework the musical completely and took it to Australia for a new stage production in Melbourne. A filmed version of that production, which starred Ben Lewis and Anna O’Byrne, will get two showings in U.S. movie theaters. Lloyd Webber is obviously hoping the movie will drum up new interest in staging the musical, which has been vastly improved, for Broadway. Screenings are set for Tuesday, Feb. 28, and Wednesday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the Warwick Showcase, Route 2 and Division Street, Warwick, and the Regal Cinemas Swansea, 207 Swansea Mall Drive. Tickets are on sale at fathomevents.com or theater box offices.
